Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, posting a job, placing a bid, or otherwise using Bid Bahamas ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Who we are

Bid Bahamas is operated from Nassau, Bahamas. Contact: nixon@bahamasun.store · +1 (242) 451-7045. We connect people posting work ("Customers") with workers and verified businesses ("Bidders"). We are not a party to the agreements reached between Customers and Bidders.

3. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it current, and to verify your email address when prompted.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your password and device secure.

4. Membership & payment

  • Certain features — posting jobs and placing bids — require an active paid membership. Free accounts may browse, save, and message.
  • Memberships are billed monthly on the 1st of each calendar month. New sign-ups are pro-rated for the remainder of the current month.
  • All payments are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by law.
  • Advertisement spots are sold separately and are subject to admin approval before going live.

5. Conduct

  • No fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, scraping, or illegal activity.
  • No off-platform payment solicitation to bypass fees while active membership is in effect.
  • Listings and bids must be accurate and in good faith. Customers and Bidders are responsible for verifying each other's identity, licences, and quality of work before entering into any agreement.

6. Content & licence

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting it, you grant Bid Bahamas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy, and distribute it as needed to operate the Platform.

7. Disputes between users

Bid Bahamas is a listings marketplace. Any agreement reached between a Customer and a Bidder is solely between them. We do not hold funds in escrow, we do not arbitrate workmanship, and we do not guarantee the performance of any party. We may, at our discretion, suspend accounts found to be engaged in abuse.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bid Bahamas disclaims all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination & account deletion

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or for conduct that harms other users or the Platform.

You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. See our Data Deletion Instructions for the three available methods (in-app, email, or via Facebook). Deletion requests are honoured within 7 business days. The default flow includes a 30-day grace period during which you can restore your account by signing back in.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Any dispute shall be brought in the courts of New Providence.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 7 days before taking effect.
