Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, island of operation, profile photo, business name.
- Content: job postings, bids, messages, reviews, uploaded photos and documents.
- Payment metadata: PayPal order IDs, SunCash transaction references. We do NOT store card numbers.
- Usage: pages visited, search queries, IP address (used for rate-limiting), user agent, approximate location.
How we use it
- To operate the Platform — authentication, matching jobs to bidders, delivering messages and notifications.
- To process payments via PayPal and SunCash; to issue invoices.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (e.g., ad-click rate-limiting).
- To improve the product and communicate important service updates.
Third parties
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and storage, PayPal for card payments, Anthropic (Claude) via the Emergent Integrations layer for the AI Bid Assistant, and OpenStreetMap / Esri for map tiles. These providers process data strictly on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your profile, bids, and listings from your dashboard. To request a full account export or deletion, email nixon@bahamasun.store. We will respond within 14 days.
Cookies
We use a single httpOnly cookie (access_token) to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies. No advertising cookies.
Security
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Communication is encrypted over HTTPS. Admin actions are logged. Report security concerns to nixon@bahamasun.store.
